Leah was born and raised in Kelowna and has deep roots in the community. Leah completed her Bachelor of Arts at UBC Okanagan, majoring in International Relations, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. After graduating law school Leah returned home to Kelowna and has been practicing here ever since. For several years Leah worked as a sole practitioner with a focus on estate planning, and is pleased to now provide her clients with a wider range of legal services including estate administration, real estate transactions, and business law matters. When advising her clients on an issue, Leah also draws on her past experience in civil litigation to give thorough yet practical advice.
Leah is an avid volunteer and has been involved with many organizations that are near to her heart. Currently she is vice president of the Central Okanagan Land Trust, as well as a founding member and president of the Friends of Woodhaven Nature Conservancy Society. She is also a past volunteer member of the RDCO Environmental Advisory Committee. She was a long-time chair of the Kelowna BCSPCA Community Council, has volunteered with Access to Justice pro bono legal clinics as well as various local arts organizations. Leah is also a mom of two and an active PAC volunteer with her kids’ schools. If you can catch up with Leah on the weekend, you will find her exploring the beautiful Okanagan with her family and searching for birds with her camera.
