Richard balances a busy law practice with his outside interests that include swimming, cycling and triathlons in the summer months and skiing in the winter. His business clients are varied and include proprietorships, partnerships, companies, investors, developers, and financial institutions. His real estate clients range from lending and mortgage work to conveyancing, leasing and development transactions. He believes that everyone should have a proper estate plan and understands the issues and concerns encountered by clients and has the practical knowledge to advise his clients and deal with these situations.
Richard grew up in Vancouver but developed a passion for the beauty, the climate and the lifestyle of the Okanagan, so when he graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1978, he moved to Kelowna. He has practiced law in Kelowna since then. In 2009 started Montgomery Miles Law Firm.
