Originally from Battleford, SK, Matt moved to Edmonton to complete his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Alberta, majoring in history and political science. He returned to Saskatchewan in 2015 where he completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Saskatchewan. After articling at a local firm in Saskatoon, he was called to the bar in 2019 and maintained a general practice in Saskatoon as a litigator and solicitor. In 2020 he moved to the Okanagan and joined Montgomery Miles & Stone as its newest associate.
Matt maintains a solicitor practice, focusing on the firms primary areas of real estate, estate planning, and business law.
Whilst at the University of Saskatchewan, Matt spent his time on a number of intra-mural sports teams, volunteering with Community Legal Assistance Services For Saskatoon Inner City Inc., and as a member of the corporate law club. As a new resident of the Okanagan, he aims to continue to volunteer and become a member of the Okanagan community, while exploring all that the Okanagan has to offer.
Outside of the office, Matt enjoys cooking, reading, running, hiking, and spending time with his partner, Catherine, and dog, Zelda.
