As long as your will is valid in the province that it was made in, it will not be invalidated simply because you have moved to British Columbia. However, legislation governing wills is different in each province and you should have a lawyer in BC review your out of province will to make sure the terms of your will can be carried out in BC. If you are selling all of your assets in the province that you moved from and will be a resident of BC with all of your assets being in BC, we recommend that you prepare a new will in BC.
